Layers of Earth

Use these free printable Earth cards (two options on the one sheet) and layer labels to incorporate a fun, hands on way of learning about the layers of Earth into your lessons.

Create your playdough colours and start by making a ball for your inner crust. Build your layers up around this while trying to maintain the shape. Then apply your water layer and add your land on top. If you're feeling up to it, you could even add some playdough clouds. Cut through your Earth when you are ready and identify the layers with your labels (attach them to toothpicks). Play with the dough when you're done.
